Notes from a Stylist has a Happy New Year fuzzy head

The key to a stylish New Years Eve, apart from battling a blizzard (which seems to be stalking me now by the way), is clearly getting together with fab friends, snarfing yummy food and partaking of the odd tipple.

Have succeeded in all of the above so far and am now in recovery which has meant restorative egg & bacon sarnie in my highly versatile skillet from Williams-Sonoma - I so need to do one of those cost per use sums to figure out that it was indeed useful buying a 2 skillet package when all I really needed was some turkey brine...

So a sturdy brunch, a brisk walk on the beach and it's time to get down to making a few New Year's resolutions. I was going to come up with the same old 'must try harder to work out' lark and then do the usual recalcitrant fail. That is until my kids  made me a Mii on the Wii, bear with me on this one - we set up the Wii fit and they took great pleasure in making me balance like a fool on the weird board thing only to then advise me that my Wii fit age was indeed 10 years older than my already advanced years. What kind of salesmanship is this? Santa spent a lot of spondoolies on that machine and now it's telling me am an old lady who can't balance. Have clearly put this down to my fuzzy head from the night before and will be asking for a re-test once the tylenol and coca cola kicks in...
