Notes from a Stylist : is doing the ski holiday washing...

It's all very well going on a stylish snowy hols and having a merry time but the coming home is always dull & filled with huge piles of washing.

Having survived near death during a blizzard in Vermont - I kid you not - I think have at least contracted H1N1 if not shattered shins from those damn ridiculous boots and frizzy static hair from bizarre hotel heating system that seemed to kick in every hour on the hour after midnight.

I thought I was near home when those weird New England folk tried to befuddle me with a sign that suggested that civilization was a mere stones throw away.

The bizarre thing about hanging out in this picturesque area of the USA is that you do feel oddly welcome (even though they booted us out under fairly hostile circumstances some centuries ago).

So, the upshot from a few days away on the slopes

  •  am still unconvinced that shall be making it to the National ski team this season (but have high hopes for kid no.1),
  • air temps under 23f are very bad for the hair
  • skiing in sunshine = good, skiing in  blizzards = bad
  • ski outfit requires further research/refinement prior to next cold weather outing to Jackson Hole with some buddies in February...
