First Christmas party of the season and its sleeting outside - typical, my first choice of skinny suede heels will have to be hastily dropped but what's more vexing than that - which coat to wear? Too early for the full blown Maxmara metallic puffer that has been cooing at me since the winter chill first hit.
Its not a full blown black tie kind of a gig but certainly the little spangly top needs to come out for its first airing, which brings me back to the coat thing.
Am loving my Alexander Wang runway parka - sneakily purchased from a consignment store recently - luckily is a camo color as every time I wear it I feel the need to take flight lest the posh lady that consigned it in the first place taps me on the shoulder and asks for it back! I am suitably reassured when a mate confides that these consignment folk are actually super aware to this plight and hence move their stock around so the ladies of Greenwich are not seen wearing their neighbors cast offs - its merely a cast off from the ladies of Rye. As long as you don't cross the border you have this consignment thing sussed.
But tonight I think its time to break out the super snugly Theory draped coat with a few Miu Miu brooches to liven it up - if sleet turns to snow shall assume am going to be snowed in & my snugly coat can double up as a duvet...
