This seasons cocoon style

Having spotted the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow skipping along on her school run in London this winter wearing the cutest cocoon cover up by Obakki I was pleased to see that us mere mortals can also snag this look at a bargain price - head to your nearest Scoop NYC to pick it up cheap in their sale...

The cocoon coat has an interesting history - although a cozy kind of vibe, it's not the most flattering look yet keeps popping up decade after decade. It's initial appearance, way back before Gwynnie was a twinkle in anyones eye was the 1920's.

With the premise being that it's very dramatic yet snuggly, am wondering whether it's a look one can pull off. So this season, I have undertaken the task of testing this garment out - purely in the interest of science of course.

I have engaged a lab rat mate to purchase the same garment - she being the perfect figured specimen A (or placebo), vs myself, a quirky short person with challenging dimensions - will report back within the near future on whether the cocoon silhouette is something the common or garden person can carry off...
