What is it about rock concerts that bring out the inner rock chick in all of us, however latent it may have been, it seeps to the surface once the tickets for some band are in our hot sticky little paws. Tonight I was lucky enough to go and see the fabulous John Legend at Madison Square Garden. His support girls were working their inner diva but am not sure whether the Herve Leger inspired minis actually attracted or detracted from his show - clearly more BCBG than Herve! But even luckier than any of us imagined, Kanye West turned up with Estelle & sang "American Boy" which is such an awesome song. By the end of the gig, despite a hugely youthful audience I had reconnected with my inner Grace Jones and was ready to hit the road back to the burbs, safe in the knowledge that every diva has her day and mine starts bright and early in the morning with no space for hissy fits when a 5 year old requires his breakfast at 6.30am.....
make that 5.45am for breakfast....
