Its high summer and a trip to the New York Botanical gardens in 90f heat suddenly seems like a plan. The hot house flowers (wasn't that the name of an 80's band?) were stunning. Whilst wafting through the edible garden and beautiful structured borders it suddenly struck me that the forthcoming Fall 09 collections have only a smattering of florals for us to feast off this season. Designers like Tibi and Erdem have plumped for a few key pieces in stunning silks that will keep our pattern palettes satiated, until in a few weeks time when the inevitable gush of florals will return in the Spring/Summer 2010 shows at the tents in Bryant park - only a few weeks to wait....
