Notes from a Stylist steps off the Resort

A little birdie told me when you go to Jamaica the worst thing you can do is step off the Resort and go off on an expedition - there were a number of expeditions to be had today - the first being a rather grown up game of golf in the renowned White Witch Golf Club. The rest of the day went sadly downhill from there.

Two things our merry band of holiday makers were ill prepared for :-

1. It's Spring Break + St Patrick's Day and if those two factors were not enough to forewarn us of the impending carnage at Rick's sunset bar (complete with cliff diving and reggae band), the second mishap should have...

2. The breakdown of our trusty bus under normal circumstances would have sent us a karma-style nod to the fact that this trip was not going to be the best. But we're in Jamaica and "Yeh Man, it's all good"

Still you can't keep a good Brit tripper down, 30 minutes later - armed with a new bus and chirpy new driver who whisked us off to Rick's in time for the sunset and managed to instill in our team that much needed Jamaican laid back attitude to disaster.

The rest of the evening was only slightly marred by the fact that we promised our team of small folk a Burger King fest on the journey home, only to be told that BK were in fact out of burgers and it was only chicken tonight.

As the sun sets on another glorious day in paradise, we are heartened by the thought that on this Island everything will indeed be alright tomorrow...
