Note from a Stylist needs a Tree Surgeon

Forget the Plastic Surgeon, I need a Tree Surgeon, and fast! This weekends mighty storm came as a bit of a shock to our team who were keen to hop on their holiday jet to Jamaica first thing Sunday morning. Sadly the weather was not agreeable and after losing power Saturday 5pm, our exit plan to the airport was further thwarted by a vast tree that crushed our gates and ultimately our actual exit.

Added to our dilemma the Mighty Yaris took a pummeling by an unfriendly fir...

things were not looking good. No heat, no light, rain & winds and trees falling from the skies without a 'by your leave'.

Luckily the Brit Blitz spirit kicked in and our new TV (log fire) was hastily constructed with our little team huddled round it. Other saving graces - the contents of the fast thawing fridge/freezer required eating and drinking so we set about our task with gusto.

Luckily our trusty handyman appeared a day later with not one but two chain saws and hacked his way (not only to us through roads that were impassable until he got there) but also through the offending fir that had us in the predicament in the first place.

Having missed out first flight, we luckily re-scheduled and left the trauma of the trees behind - at point of exit the light and power folk were suggesting 'multiple days' before power would be restored - so for now, happily ensconced in Jamaica, these are the only trees I'm planning to view for the rest of the week.
