Resort 2011 : The Cropped Sweater

Did I ever mention I'm a bit of a sucker for a cropped sweater? Any kind really, cardi, roll neck, v-neck -  it's not the style that catches my fancy but the idea that by wearing this small knitted garment my life will be transformed into a heady rampage of 1950's kitsch.

So with glee I've spotted a tiny micro trend lurking in the Resort 2011 offerings. There are indeed some crop sweaters heading our way.

Resort 2011 : A pop of color

Highly exciting news is filtering out of the Resort 2011 looks - chartreuse is back - yes it's a color as well as a liqueur. One of my buddies once told me that it's an ultimate 'no no' in fashion, but she married an Italian so what does she know. It's hands down my favorite color whichever season.

So thank you Roksanda Illincic, Celine, Diane von Furstenberg.... for showing us a pop of my 'go to' summer color.

But Versace next season, I may be likely to sidestep - ever heard of that phrase "too much of a good thing"?.....

Prada Cruise 2011

Yikes - Prada's Cruise 2011 offerings are looking a little more Sound of Music than slick Italian chick. Apparently it's inspired by gypsy-caravan meets Sunday best. All I'm seeing so far is 30's style ankle socks with ugly shoes and big fat plastic belts - oh and some dresses underneath - perhaps not what Miuccia was after.

No doubt by next Season my Fashionista brain will have kicked in and I will be suckered into it all...
