Icons exhibit by Mr Brainwash in NY - ballsy or ballyhoo?

During yesterdays deluge of rain, my shopping  research accomplice and I took a few moments to shelter from the unseasonal wet stuff in a gallery in the Meatpacking District. Turns out it was Mr Brainwash and his Icons Remix exhibit that was laughed out of L.A. only to re-open in NY.

Is he Banksy's puppet or the real deal? Whether you believe the hype or not, the work was oversized, in your face and fun - trouble is you need a home the size of an aircraft hanger to actually show it off...
