Notes from a Stylist at MB Fashion Week Day 3 : Georges Chakra rocks the grown up glamour look

Blimey - Georges Chakra know's how to churn out high end glamour for the girl about town.

His show this morning started off quite safely with a smattering of body con here and a touch of lace there. Some fitted skirt suits with cool back to front lapel detail - a theme that he continued throughout the show.

A few 'New York Housewives' sitting front row would have been happy with just that, but luckily for the rest of us, the erstwhile couture specialist began to rack up the va va voom factor with a series of lame and beaded red carpet worthy dresses, back to front tuxedo looks and dreamy crepe gowns in red or black. Add to that some super chic evening trench's in what the program describes as 'red distressed glazed satin trench' - despite the lengthy title they were much slinkier in the flesh.

Some low points for me were the number of Chantilly lace pant suits and cocktail dresses - I know its very now, but it still smacks of red light district to me. All in all the boy done good, with the Awards season upon us I'm sure his gowns will get the high octane showing they deserve.
