Now I know I may be slightly left of field here but is the new high line walkway - first section just opened in the meatpacking section of the city - a walkway or a runway? Having scurried down there one Sunday afternoon to check whether Bill Cunningham's 'elevated fashion' report in the NY times was telling truthies, I found myself having to shield the eyes of my kids as people stripped off to enjoy the sun  on the fabulous loungers that are incorporated into railway tracks. The only good news perhaps being that the loungers are on wheels so if you don't like the lack of layers on your neighbor you can simply push your position to an alternate view.
